Easter Week Activities – This year Easter is on March 31, 2023. Events are taking place on the following dates and times:
—New Harmony Community Easter Egg Hunt — 3/23/24, 1:00 p.m., Harmonist Cemetery. Easter Egg Hunt. Easter bunny visits and photo ops.
—Premier Health Care Easter Egg Hunt Cookout and More — an egg hunt, treats for the kids, hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, and drinks. 3/23/24 1pm-3pm, 251 Highway 66.
— Harmonie State Park Egg Hunt – 3/30/24, 10am.
—Good Friday Interdenominational Cross Walk – 3/29/24 1:00-2:30pm. Will start at First Christian Church.
— Sunrise Service at the Roofless Church – 3/31/24, 6:30am. Bring your own chair. In the event of inclement weather, the service will be held at St. Stephens Episcopal Church.
Solar Eclipse Celebration – New Harmony will be in the path of totality for the solar eclipse on Monday, April 8, 2024. Various activities to commemorate the occasion will begin April 5th. A special Under the Beams Concert featuring, among others, Molly Felder and Mickey Grimm, will be staged April 7th.
First Brush of Spring Plein Air Paint-Out – April 17-20, 2024. This will be the 25 year anniversary of the Paint-Out.
Under the Beams concert – Mokoomba – April 20, 2024, Murphy Auditorium, 7:30 pm
New Harmony Project – May 22 to June 2, 2024. The 2024 conference of this national arts organization will once again be held in New Harmony. The mission is to nurture writers in the development of scripts and new works that interrogate the complexity of hope. Mingle with the writers. Hear readings.
Firefly Festival – A;\lways held during a Friday and Saturday of June. This year, it is June 7 and 8, 2024. Night-time guided golf cart and/or walking tours to the densest areas for fireflies, firefly facts, photography tips, games, pub crawl. Special music and a spectacular outdoor GLOW dance party for all ages. June 7 & 8 in 2024 to take advantage of the dark of the moon (aka New Moon) when it gets very dark in the absence of moonlight and the fireflies come out earlier.
Antique Festival – – June 8-9, 2024. 22nd annual Golden Raintree Antique Show & Sale with 50 booths located inside the Ribeyre gym/Event center and outside on main street, downtown New Harmony, IN. This is a vintage, and antiques show filled with Americana, Art, Advertising, Stoneware, Garden Antiques, Kitchenware, books, jewelry, silver, glassware, primitives, furniture and so much more. 9-5 Saturday June 8th and 9-4 Sunday June 9th, 2024. Free Admission, Rain or shine. *NEW* this year we will welcome our first car Cruise-In.

Kunstfest – always the third weekend in September. September 21-22, 2024.
Dulcimer Festival (Dulcimer Chautauqua on the Wabash) – October 3-6, 2024. (Dates may vary from year to year.)
MEET IN THE STREET Community Potluck – Sunday, October 6, 2024 from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm, with the location within the New Harmony Historic District. (Exact spot, TBD.)
Christmas in New Harmony Festival – the first weekend in December. In 2024, it will be December 6-8, 2024.
TOURS!!! You have options!
โ During peak season, there are tours that depart from the Atheneum Visitors Center at 1:00 pm led by University of Indianaโs Historic New Harmony division. Tours cover a wide range of New Harmony historic locations and begin with a special short movie about New Harmony. Tours will resume in March.
โ Wednesday through Sunday hour long tours of the Indiana State Museum & Historic Sites depart at 11:00 and 3:00 from Community House #2 at 410 Main Street. These tours focus on the historic properties owned of two Utopian communities โ the Harmonists and the Owenites, including Community House #2, Thrallโs Opera House, the Rapp-Owen Granary, the Fauntleroy House, Thrallโs Opera House, as well as the Harmonist Cemetery.

American Legion Post 370 at 516 E. Church St – Open Tuesday through Sunday. The public is invited any time for food, but cannot drink alcohol unless it is one of the 5 rotating guest days per month or a member signs a guest in. Call to find out this month’s guest days.
Black Lodge Coffee Roasters at 610 Church St. – Open every day except Wednesday. 8:00 am – 3:00 pm each day but Monday, when the closing is at 1:00.
The Main Cafe at 508 S. Main St. – Open every day except Sunday. Breakfast and lunch. Monday – Saturday 6:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Red Geranium (and Grapevine Bar) at 504 North St. – Open every day but Monday and Tuesday.) 8:00 am – 8:00 pm Wednesday & Thursday; 8:00 am to 9:00 pm Friday & Saturday; on Sunday, open from 8-2 and 5-8.
