Glass Fusion Classes
Choose time & date

Feb 04, 2022 @ 12:00 pm

Explore the amazing art of glass fusion in a personalized class at Capers Glass Studio at Capers Emporium in New Harmony.

Call us at (812) 682-6112 to book. Classes can be scheduled on a weekday or evening or a Saturday day or evening. Grab friends, coworkers, or family members and make it a party.

Here is how it works. When you call us to schedule, we’ll talk to you about what you want to make. Choose between: nightlight, coaster, pendant/necklace combo, suncatcher, trivet, garden stake, ring dish, small plate. Once that is decided upon and the date is set, show up ready to be creative. We will show you all the building blocks and materials available for you to assemble your project and we’ll guide you through how to pull it all together. In the process, we will teach you about the unique properties of glass, how to cut it, and what your fusing options are. The color choices and design styles are as unique as each student and the possibilities are endless.

Once you have pulled your creation together, you decide whether you want it to be tack fused or full fused (we will provide examples of each to help you choose). In the week following your class, we will fire your work, along with other projects that are ready to be fused. Once it comes out of the kiln, we’ll message you to come pick it up — or we will fire it a second time if it needs to be slumped into a shape (such as a ring dish or upturned plate).

We love to watch our students go from “I’m not creative. I don’t think I will be very good at this” to “Wow! I love what I made and can’t wait to come back for another class!”

If you’ve never experienced glass fusion, it is unique — very different from blowing glass or doing stained glass. It’s quick to learn and easy to get addicted to!

$55. Per person. Includes all materials and supplies.
