Lowry Hollow is excited to present a new exhibition, “Horses: The Drawings of Mary Ann Corrigan featuring the Mesker Park Carousel,” as part of our larger Mardi Gras celebration on February 10. Mary Ann Corrigan is a direct descendent of some of the early settlers of New Harmony and was a tour guide for the town and a community volunteer. Corrigan produced two drawings of the Mesker Park Carousel as a fundraiser to try and save the famous Merry-go-Round, which is now in North Carolina. Mary Ann Corrigan’s granddaughter will be hand coloring prints of these pen and ink drawings and they will be for sale. Free and open to the public.
Lowry Hollow will be throwing a Mardi Gras Party for the reception! Carnival! Jambalaya, NOLA beer, king cake, find a hidden “baby”, masks and beads, beads, beads! The party starts at 2pm.
