The Atheneum/Visitor’s Center serves as the visitor center for the town of New Harmony as well as houses exhibits on the communal history of New Harmony, a large theater where an orientation film on the town is shown, and Museum Shop.
Open 9:30am – 5pm Tuesday through Sunday. Central time daily. Closed on major holidays and the months of January and February.
Guided Tours leave daily at 1:00pm March 15-October 31 and weekends only from November 1-December 30. [Closed January and February.] The tours are different every time, but generally last approximately two hours. An ADA-compliant covered tram is used, but visitors will be walking through various historic structures.

Tours are free to USI students, faculty and staff.
Special pricing available for groups of 10 or more.
Tours of the Atheneum and viewing of introductory film are by donation.
