Garden Club Group Tours
The Garden Club is usually out and about around town early Tuesday mornings, planting and tending to the many areas they beautify, from the water building on Granary St. to the garden by the Post Office. If you see them out, ask about arranging a group tour of New Harmony’s many gardens, or contact Anne Scarafia for more details.
Even if you’re not looking for a formal tour, knowledgeable Garden Club members can point you where to look for seasonable beauty. Starting with hellebores, which can bloom through the winter, as the year progresses, New Harmony yards, gardens, and parks come alive with: crocus, daffodils, tulips, all kinds of blooming trees — from cherry and apple to dogwood – irises, peonies, columbine, oak leaf hydrangeas, other hydrangeas, dianthus, day lilies, alliums, geraniums, begonias, zinnias, dahlias, hollyhocks, cornflowers, and so much more!
